The Vercors landscapes are also characterized by a considerable grasp of the rocky areas with emblematical urgonian cliffs, 250 to 300 m high. Lapiaz, screes, covered or not by forests, give to the vegetation a particular habitat, often cool and shaded below an altitude of about 1500 m, generally dry and sunny above. |
